01
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pauseway mobile application (Android package com.awais78612.meditation) and this companion website. Mudassar Raza is the developer and operator.
The current app does not require an account and does not send your profile, preferences, favorites, or completion history to a developer-operated server.
02
Information stored on your device
When you use the app, the following information may be saved in the app's local storage:
- Personalization
- Your name, gender selection, and age-group selection.
- Preferences
- Notification permission status, selected plan, and whether onboarding is complete.
- Activity
- Favorite meditation, sleep, and breathing session IDs, plus dates used to calculate your completion streak.
A plan selection can be saved locally, but the app has no billing integration and does not collect card or bank details.
03
Device permissions
Notifications
Notifications are optional. If you open the notification setting, the app may ask for operating-system permission, create an Android notification channel, and save whether permission was granted. The current build does not collect a push token or schedule local or remote notifications.
Audio and microphone
The app plays meditation and sleep audio. The current app code does not record, save, or transmit microphone audio.
Android may list microphone access among the app's permissions because the current configuration declares it. The current build contains no recording feature and does not access microphone data.
04
External services and network requests
Some media in the current app loads directly from external hosts:
- images.unsplash.comSession and editorial imagery
- i.pravatar.ccDevelopment avatar images
- soundhelix.comDevelopment audio files
When your device requests a file, the host may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, request headers, request time, and the requested file. The app does not attach your locally stored name, age group, gender selection, favorites, or streak history to those requests.
This website currently has no account, form, advertising, or analytics integration. Like most websites, its hosting provider may process standard access and security logs.
05
How information is used
The app uses locally stored information to:
- personalize the greeting and experience;
- remember settings and onboarding progress;
- save favorites and calculate activity streaks; and
- load and play selected media.
The current build does not use this information for advertising, cross-app tracking, analytics, profiling, or automated decision-making.
07
Retention and deletion
App information remains in local app storage until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. The current Android configuration also permits operating-system backup. Depending on your device and Google backup settings, Android may copy local app data to your cloud backup or transfer it to another device, then restore it after installation.
These system backups are controlled by your device and account provider, not by the developer. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the installed copy, but may not immediately remove an existing provider-held backup. You can manage backup settings through your device or Google account.
The current app does not copy this information to a developer-operated server, so the developer does not hold a remote account record to delete.
External media and hosting providers may retain their own server logs according to their policies and operational needs.
08
Security
The current app limits its data handling by keeping personalization and activity information in application storage rather than a developer database. It does not collect passwords, medical records, or payment-card details. No storage or transmission method, however, can be guaranteed completely secure.
09
Younger users
The onboarding includes an “under 18” age-group option. That selection is stored in local app storage, and the current build does not create an account or transmit the selection to a developer-operated server.
A parent or guardian can remove locally stored information by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it, subject to the Android backup behavior described above. If you believe a younger user has provided information to the developer outside the app, contact us so the request can be reviewed.
10
Your choices
- Control notification access through your device settings.
- Delete locally stored app information by clearing app data or uninstalling the app, and manage any system backup through your device or account settings.
- Stop network media requests by closing or no longer using the app.
- Email the developer with a privacy question or request.
11
Changes to this policy
This policy may change when the app, website, or their data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
