Acceptance

By accessing this website, or by using the app after these terms have been made available to you, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Pauseway Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

What Pauseway provides

Pauseway is a general wellness app with guided meditation, breathing exercises, sleep audio, favorites, activity streaks, and simple personalization. The current app does not require an account.

Meditate

Guided sessions intended to support focus and calm.

Breathe

Paced breathing exercises for relaxation practice.

Sleep

Audio sessions intended to support a bedtime routine.

Wellness, not medical care

Pauseway provides general educational and wellness content. It is not medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, treatment, or an emergency service, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Younger users

The app includes an “under 18” age-group option. A parent or guardian is responsible for deciding whether Pauseway is suitable for a younger user and for providing any supervision required by applicable law or the user's circumstances.

Where a younger user cannot legally accept these terms, a parent or guardian must review and agree to them on the user's behalf before allowing use.

Licenses and permitted use

Some Pauseway source code may be provided under a separate open-source license. That license controls your rights in the covered software, and these terms do not restrict the rights it grants.

For Pauseway materials not covered by a separate license, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use them for lawful, non-commercial purposes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Pauseway for an unlawful or harmful purpose;
• copy, republish, sell, rent, or distribute content except where a separate license, applicable law, or written permission allows it;
• bypass security, interfere with operation, or introduce malicious code;
• use Pauseway in a way that infringes another person's rights.

Content and results

Meditation, breathing, and sleep experiences differ from person to person. Pauseway does not promise a particular result, health outcome, sleep duration, or reduction in stress. Choose sessions that are appropriate for you and use your own judgment.

Plans and purchases

The current app can remember a plan selection on your device, but it has no active checkout, subscription billing, or payment processing. The current build cannot charge you.

If purchases are introduced later, the price, renewal terms, cancellation method, and any applicable app-store terms will be shown before a purchase is completed.

Third-party services and media

Some images and audio may load from third-party hosts. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy practices to their services. Pauseway does not control their availability, security, or continued operation.

Privacy

The Pauseway Privacy Policy explains what the current app stores on your device, which permissions it declares, how external media requests work, and the choices available to you.

Availability and updates

Features, sessions, media, and compatibility may change over time. Pauseway may update, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the app or website. Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

Ownership

The Pauseway name, interface, and original app and website materials are owned by or licensed to the developer. Third-party media and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. Source code and other materials may be available under separate licenses, which continue to apply. These terms do not override those licenses or grant permission to use another owner's intellectual property.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pauseway is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, Pauseway.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, right, remedy, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Ending use

You may stop using Pauseway at any time and uninstall the app. The developer may discontinue access to Pauseway or its content, including where these terms are violated or continued operation is no longer practical.

Changes and applicable law

These terms may change when Pauseway, its content, or applicable requirements change. A revised page will show a new effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms where applicable law allows.

These terms operate subject to applicable law. Nothing here limits legal rights that cannot be waived.
